What is Qlockwork?

Qlockwork is a desktop application for Windows. It makes time tracking much easier and stops you wondering "where did my day go?"

Qlockwork talks directly to your PC, Office and Outlook to track what you are doing. It logs this information in a private activity calendar in Outlook.

Your activity calendar, which can be viewed in Outlook using the calendar or folders views, shows you exactly how you spend your time.

Find out

• How much time you actually get to spend on your core tasks and responsibilities.
• How much individual customers or projects are really costing.
• How much you are getting distracted and what's eating into your time.
• How much you are swapping between tasks, and what's breaking your concentration.

Spyware vs. Myware

Although Qlockwork monitors your computer activity, it's not the same as the spyware you try to avoid – you can turn off the tracking whenever you want, and you can always delete the data. Think of it as myware, not spyware.

Qlockwork, Time Tracking and Timesheets

Qlockwork can be used on its own, or you can use it to make your existing timesheet system easier and more accurate.

Using Qlockwork with your existing timesheet system

To use Qlockwork in conjunction with your existing timesheet system:

• Install Qlockwork, but continue to use your existing timesheet.
• Update your timesheet as normal, but use Qlockwork's highly accurate data to remind you what you did, when and for how long.

By using Qlockwork to enhance your existing solution, you can ensure you don't lose billable time just because you forgot to hit a timer.

Using Qlockwork standalone

To use Qlockwork standalone:

• Install Qlockwork on your PC.
• Enter a list of the projects you want to track, which could be associated with particular customers, or could be internal projects.
• Enter key words or people you associate with those projects.
• If they match the key words or people, your daily activities will now be associated with these projects; you can produce reports on any time period, telling you how long you worked on any particular project.

By using Qlockwork, you can find out more about your business costs.
